We’re happy to announce the availability of another new module. Our Ruby Drive compares to the JHS Ruby Red and Superbolt pedals, designed to sound like those vintage Supro amps used by numerous artists, including Albert Lee, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Perry, Joe Walsh, Steve Stevens, Keith Richards, and many others. The Ruby Drive is easy to operate, with Volume, Gain, and Tone controls, along with a Hi/Lo switch. At low Volume and Gain, you can get a spanky, sparkly clean boost. Crank the Volume and Gain all the way and you get saturated, singing sustain, hi-gain distortion, practically fuzz. There is a wide variety of boost, overdrive, and gain tones in between. JFET transistors result in a nice tube-y sound – nice woody, hollow palm muted tones when the gain and volume are up. It is nicely sensitive to pick attack and cleans up with your guitar volume. Switch from Hi to Lo, and the gain and treble get trimmed a bit to darken the mood. It has one of the widest ranges of great drive tones of any module we offer. You can see the details and pricing at Ruby Drive.
That’s all for now. We were hoping to pair this with another product announcement that is nearly ready, but we’re still waiting for some parts to arrive. They should be arriving any day now, so check back around the end of the month or first week of December to see what we've been cooking up besides turkey. We’re going to be on short hours the week of Thanksgiving, but we’ll be checking email periodically.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving !!
