Hello, Effects Fans!
Today we announce our new Dirty Tube module. It compares to the different versions of the Tube Driver pedal from Baja, Butler, and Chandler, but with several options to make it better than the original pedals. As Eric Johnson, David Gilmour, and others know, if you want to get good tube tone, use a tube! That's the heart of the Dirty Tube, a 12AX7-compatible preamp tube, cranking out great tube drive tones. Our design lets you have one or two channels, each with options to configure them to meet your needs, including an option for bass players.
Normally we include much of the information found on our web page for a module when we write up these product announcements. However, our page for this module is pretty lengthy, describing the various options and giving more detail about the circuit. Instead of jamming that all into a much-too-long announcement, we'll refer you to the Dirty Tube web page for the details. We'll just say here, that you can configure a Dirty Tube module with two differently-voiced channels, with different levels of gain, and separate controls for Gain, Volume, and Hi/Lo tone, that will give you a wide range of tube tone options much like a two-channel tube amp. Check it out!
This is our first tube-based drive module. But if you're looking for tube-based tone, don't forget the Tube Reverb, our tube-driven spring reverb module.
You can see the details about our Dirty Tube module at: Dirty Tube. Or look for it in the Overdrive Modules section under Products -> Modules -> Modules By Type.
