Whazzup effects fans?!
I’m psyched! It has been a little quiet around here while I was finishing up several new module designs that had been piling up. I just received a shipment of new boards for a bunch of new effects including an OD, two great chorus circuits, a flanger, a cool “utility” module for powering third party stuff, a popular phaser, and an original design secret weapon for bass players. Also just received a shipment of new custom metalwork to support those new module designs. Lots of building and testing coming up, one of my favorite parts of the R&D process.
After so many modules over the years, the odds of getting boards right the first time are getting pretty good. But those boards will still get turned every which way to shake out any bugs. Sometimes a fix or improvement is needed, requiring updated boards before we’re willing to announce and release them as products. Once we get these boards sorted out, we’ll have about 12 new module configurations that we should be able to release in the upcoming weeks. Another flanger and a preamp/boost are following right behind them. These should take us to over 250 different module configurations, comparable to a similar number of pedals. I’m not sure any other company has that many effects to choose from, particularly rack effects designed for players, but equally at home in a studio. Check out the Compares To page to see the current list.
Keep an eye out for announcements of some of these new modules as we head into the holidays! Now, gotta go heat up the soldering iron!
