Gerlt Technologies makes hundreds of customizable rack effects, at prices comparable to guitar pedals.  It's time to dump that pedal board and get Your Tone off the floor!

 What We Do

You know them as guitar pedals

We build them as rack effect modules you can customize to get Your Tone

Put several rack effect modules into a 3U rack enclosure

Connect power and audio on the back like guitar pedals, adding connections for remote switching

Add a remote footswitch unit to turn rack effects on and off

Add as many rack effect modules, enclosures, and third-party products as you like. Plug in your guitar and amp. Rock it! It's that simple.

Get ready, Dallas!

Gerlt Technologies is now confirmed for the Dallas International Guitar Festival (DIGF), May 3 -5, at Dallas Market Hall.  Stop by and try out the largest selection of affordable rack guitar effects available anywhere!

We’ll be bringing a big selection of our modules so you can try them out in person.  We have the effects to get Your Tone from your own affordable rack system. It’s time to get Your Tone off the floor and into a rack system from Gerlt Technologies! Whether you need a vintage or current amp simulation, boost, buffer, chorus, compressor, delay, distortion, equalizer, flanger, fuzz, overdrive, phaser, power, reverb, signal routing, switching, tremolo, or vibrato effect, we’ve got you covered with well over 200 different effects and hundreds of optional customizations.

Come by our booth at Market Hall in May and we’ll put a guitar in your hands, plug you into your choice of rack effects, and let you give ‘em a workout.  We’re more than happy to answer any questions and explain in detail what we have and how it works. While it looks complicated when you see a stack of 200+ effects resembling the control room of a nuclear power plant, it is actually very simple and much smaller when appropriately configured. We only make it to a few shows a year, so even if you aren’t ready to get Your Tone off the floor right now, stop by and check it out for later. We’re there to have a good time with new friends and look forward to meeting you.

What we do:

By sometime in the 80’s, guitar effect pedals had become an established and critical component of the setup for most players. It seemed nearly everyone had a pedalboard on stage with them. But as the pedalboard setups became more widespread, and more complex, it quickly became evident that they weren’t an ideal solution. Those few that could afford it began moving to expensive custom rack rigs. If that trend had been given a bit more time, we probably would have seen a wide range of affordable rack effects become available. But instead, at about that time, digital technology emerged and changed the direction of effects design. In particular, digital technology found an especially well-suited home in racks. Instead of a plethora of inexpensive pedals being reborn in rack form, rack gear went “studio” and digital. Few analog effects pedals ended up in racks. Rack solutions for use outside the studio remained an expensive indulgence for the superstars that could afford them. Until now.

Gerlt Technologies offers an alternative to the current state of rack effects. We offer what might have emerged if digital technology hadn’t come along when it did to disrupt the migration of analog effects pedals to rack format. We offer more than 200 rack-based effect designs, which we call “modules”, along with many mods and customizations that are popular for those effects. Our module prices are comparable to what good pedal builders charge for their pedals. That’s what we do. We build customizable rack versions of guitar effects at prices that make them affordable even if you don’t (yet) have any Grammy awards. There is a smattering of rack effects available, but most still tend to be expensive, take up too much space, rely on complicated midi or other digital technology, offer little more than actual pedals strapped into a rack shelf, or are based on other exotic designs. Our solution is much more simple, effective, and intuitive. Within a couple of minutes, almost everyone that has seen our solution says something to the effect of “That makes perfect sense. I don’t know why no one has done this before.” One of the reasons is that it takes a lot of time, money, and work to develop such a solution. We’ve made that investment and the results are now available to you.
