If you need a repair or modification, contact Customer Support and we can discuss your options and figure out what works best for you.  We can also help with some level of troubleshooting, but difficult problems may require us to have access to the product.

Note that we don't try to make a bunch of money on repair work.  Just like you, we want to have as few repairs as possible.  When repairs are necessary we want them to be as quick, easy, and inexpensive as possible.  Repairs are as much a distraction for us as they are for you - we all have better things to do!

GT Repairs

Obviously, you can send something to us for repair or modification.  We'll discuss costs before you send it to us so there shouldn't be any surprises.

Fix It Yourself

We design and build our products so that you can do most common repairs yourself.  Most parts that fail over time, such as potentiometers, switches, and jacks can easily be replaced without soldering.  Contact Customer Support to determine exactly what part is needed and to purchase it.  We try to keep replacement part costs low so you can get many years of use from our products.  Common replacement parts are listed on the module description pages, but we will likely need additional details to make sure we send the right part.

Third Party Repairs

We don't share schematics or detailed technical information with anyone, including third-party repair shops.  However, a good repair shop should be able to determine what is wrong with a malfunctioning module and repair it in most cases.  We are happy to sell you or them replacement parts if they are needed.  The majority of the time, failures will likely be due to normal use parts wearing out - jacks, switches, potentiometers, etc.  They will likely have those parts in stock and be able to replace them without purchasing anything from us.  Our designs and builds include some technical features that make it easier for a repair shop to replace these common parts.  Of course, if they have questions they can contact us.  We are happy to help them - we don't consider them competitors for repair business.  But we don't share our proprietary detailed technical information with them or anyone else, which may hinder their troubleshooting and repair process.
