Amp Pass Thru

Amp connection convenience for rack effect users

The Amp Pass Thru rack effect module allows you to plug in your amp and its effects loop into the front of your rack, leaving effects chain cabling in the back.  Optional buffers are available for long amp cable runs.

Description

GT modules have nearly all their connections on the rear panel.  Those connections need to eventually find their way to an amp.  For ease of use and setup, it may be more convenient for the amp to plug into the front of your rack setup.  That's the purpose of the Amp Pass Thru module.  It routes the signal you want to send to your amp from the back of the rack to the front.

There are two configurations.  The standard Amp Pass Thru is nothing more than three cables from jacks on the back to jacks on the front.  That gives you three paths from the back of the rack to the front, or from the front to the back - it makes no difference.  But three is a magic number.  It lets you take a signal from the back, send it to the front, and cable to your amp's input.  Then you can cable from your amp's loop send back to the second jack on the front, to the second jack on the back, to more effects you want in your amp's loop.  At the end of that chain, you come back to the third rear panel jack, out to the third front panel jack, and then to your amp's loop return.

The second configuration adds buffering in case you are using long cables to/from your amp.  You can choose which of our buffer modules you prefer.  The signal gets buffered on all three paths.  Of course, buffers are directional.  Those three sets of jacks would need to be used in the directions as described in the example above.  Or we can change the directions of the buffers.  Or we don't have to buffer all three paths.  Your choice.  The buffers are always on.  There is no switching.

Both configurations are presently offered only as special 1" wide right wing modules.
