In/Out Pass Thru
Guitar and amp connection convenience for rack users

The In/Out Pass Thru is a routing effect module. It lets you plug guitars and/or amps into the front of your rack and do the effect cabling in the back of your rack.
Description
GT modules have nearly all their connections on the rear panel. Your guitar and amp cables need to find their way to those connections. For ease of use and setup, it may be more convenient for your guitars and amps to plug into the front of your rack setup. That's the purpose of the In/Out Pass Thru module. It routes your guitar and amp signal from the front of the rack to your effects on the back. In its standard unbuffered configuration, it is identical to the unbuffered Guitar Pass Thru and unbuffered Amp Pass Thru in functionality. It's just a different name for the same thing.
There are two configurations. The standard In/Out Pass Thru is nothing more than three cables from jacks on the front to jacks on the back. That gives you three paths from the front of the rack to the back, or from the back to the front - it makes no difference. You can use them to connect guitars or amps or anything else.
The second configuration adds buffering in case you are using long cables from your guitars or to your amps. You can choose which of our buffer modules you prefer. The signal gets buffered on one or two of the three paths. The third is unbuffered. There is a funky constraint due to space. If you choose two buffers, you must choose both buffers to be BritBuffers, or neither of them to be BritBuffers. Of course, buffers are directional. The buffered paths would have to be used from front to rear or rear to front, whichever way you want them configured. Or we can buffer only one path and leave two unbuffered. Your choice. The buffers are always on. There is no switching.
Both configurations are presently offered only as special 1" wide wing modules. Note that the buffer board and power board of the buffered configuration must fasten to the PCB support of the next module to the right if you get it as a left wing module. Obviously, that means you must have a next module to the right. If you don't, you will need to purchase a separate PCB support.
This module is primarily intended for those that need only a single guitar and single amp connection. In that case, you don't need separate Guitar Pass Thru and Amp Pass Thru modules. You can leave off the one in the right wing position, which gives you an additional 1" of space for other modules, one of which will need to be a right wing module. Or we can make the In/Out Pass Thru a right wing module and then you'll need some other module in the left wing position.
